Mike sent this note following his last McCarthy’s Party Tour through the province.
Andrew…here is a sample of a personal email that I received from one of my tourists about the special treatment he received on his tour and the kind words he had about McCarthys. Not sure if it is of any value for your blogs. I will also send along a group picture we took.

HELLO MIKE
Just to let we you know we made it safely home on Monday JULY the 6th. You had given Carol the phone number for the Northern Lights Inn & had graciously offered that if they gave the package to the McCarthy driver that you would ship the item to us. Carol called them & they were going to ship the sweatshirt to us directly. So thanks again for the offer which is something we didn’t really expect but again proves the excellent type of service we got used to during our trip ( ie little things that went above & beyond what we normally expected)
Also I forgot to mention this to you but our friend Denis had mentioned during one of our meals that it was nice to see that Mike, Wayne or Agnus sometimes had meals with the people on tour which made everyone feel right at home.We learned a little bit more about your life & hopefully you learned something about us. We have gone on about 4 bus tours in the UK and the guide & driver didn’t ever eat with the trip people
Thanks again for the great tour. It just reinforced my thoughts that Newfoundlanders are very proud hard working people and enjoy themselves with their music when they can
